Vacation
The school closes for the term and session today, Friday 14th July, 2017. The pupils are to go home with their report booklets, bills and tellers.
Summer Coaching
The Summer Coaching starts on Monday 31st July, 2017 and ends Friday 25th August, 2017. The lesson runs from Monday through Friday every week. The time is 9:00 am – 1:30 pm, except on Fridays that the school will close at 1 pm. The amount is ₦ 2,500 per child.
Textbooks
The list of textbooks have been made available for the various classes, however the Reception, the Nursery and Kindergarten classes are to pay and collect their textbooks from the school when the school resumes. Reception, Playgroup & Nursery 1 are to pay ₦ 4,000 while Nursery 2 and Kindergarten pupils are to pay ₦ 6,500 respectively at the school’s office.
School Fees
School fees are expected to be paid fully during the holidays as the school will still be kept open to allow parents who want to drop their wards’ teller. School Uniform, Cardigan and Sports Wear
School uniform, Cardigans and Sport Wears are available in the school. There is no excuse for worn out outfits as terrible uniforms shall not be tolerated.
Resumption
The school commences for a brand new academic session 2017/2018 on Monday 11th September, 2017. Please Parents/Guardians, let us support these children to get the best in them.
Early Childhood Care and Development
We would also like to inform you that the Government had made some slight adjustment in the title given to the classes in Early Childhood Care and Development. This consists of Playgroup, Nursery and Kindergarten classes. The reshuffling demands that Nursery comes before kindergarten. So the arrangement goes thus: Playgroup 1 Year Reception Class 1½ – 2 Years Nursery 1 3 Years Nursery 2 4 Years Kindergarten 5 Years Primary 1 6 Years Although these depend also on the capacity/ability of the child; together, we shall build these children.
Montessori Method
It is with delight and a sense of responsibility that we inform our esteemed parents that the school has adopted the Montessori Method of teaching. The benefits are numerous but not limited to making Early years of learning to be work filled with fun and a play style of teaching. Children must have fun while learning. Children learn by exploring, observing and figuring out the way things work by experimenting. The members of staff have been well trained for this, the school has acquired a lot of apparatus/teaching materials and we hope the parents will give necessary support to encourage their children/wards whenever they are given homework. Montessori Method affects only the pupils in Playgroup, Nursery and Kindergarten classes and not the Primary School per se. We shall not labour in vain over these children in Jesus mighty name.
